Position : Warehouse and Logistics Co-ordinator

Summary : This position is responsible for the coordination of warehousing and logistics across Surf Coast Eggs. The Co-ordinator provides services to Surf Coat Eggs external suppliers and customers as per the demands of the company. This role includes onboarding and coordination of all warehousing staff and drivers required to operate the fleet.

Key Responsibilities :

Safety and Compliance :

  • Maintain an uncompromising safety-first attitude with Chain of Responsibility management experience.
  • Ensure all drivers are trained in group policies, load restraint, WH&S, fatigue management, manual handling, and any other training required by legislation, without risk to their health and safety.

Fleet Management :

  • Work with key stakeholders to source and maintain fleet vehicles per business requirements.
  • Coordinate the procurement and disposal of fleet and plant according to business needs.
  • Work closely with RAMP Scheduling Co-ordinator to ensure all components of the fleet asset management system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date recording of all fleet asset data, maintenance work, fuel records, compliance records / permits, fleet commissioning and disposals, and system reports.
  • Ensure process to monitor the servicing and repair of fleet is being followed and all items are maintained correctly and according to policy.
  • Driver Management :

  • Recruit and manage drivers with appropriate certification to perform duties required across the business network.
  • Work closely with RAMP Scheduling Coordinator regarding driver allocation to ensure all activities are supported with certified drivers and equipment.
  • Ensure all drivers adhere to company policies and procedures, holding them accountable for their performance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing transport and warehouse team.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging professional growth and development.
  • Provide regular feedback and coaching to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Accountability :
  • Hold team members accountable for their performance and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Set clear goals and expectations and conduct regular performance reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting :

  • Provide analytics and reports in line with schedules provided by the Operations Manager.
  • Use data-driven insights to optimize warehouse and logistics operations and improve efficiency.
  • Process and Procedure Management :

  • Create, manage, and deploy processes and procedures to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
  • From time to time, perform ad hoc duties as assigned by the management team.
  • Engage in external suppliers to help manage costs best for the business
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration :

  • Encourage open communication and teamwork across different departments.
  • Share ideas and resources to achieve common goals.
  • Celebrate successes to build morale and unity.
  • Qualifications :

  • Experience in the coordination of fleet assets, including light vehicle and heavy plant fleet.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
  • Established stakeholder engagement skills and experience using interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with Council staff and external parties.
  • Ability to deliver a program of work associated with assigned activities, managing competing demands, resources, and time constraints.
  • Proven skills in problem-solving, including identification and determination of issues and the development of solutions to achieve outcomes.
  • Excellent PC skills, fleet management systems and hardware experience, and working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Application Information : This is a permanent full-time salaried position :

  • Standard hours are 7.30am - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work as required.
  • After-hours activities may be required to ensure business continuity.
  • Alternate working hours may be discussed in line with business requirements.
