30.50 p / h Base PLUS Salary Packaging PLUS Annual Leave LoadingWork Life BalancePermanent Full Time Opportunity with $1000 sign on bonusAbout the roleThe Assistant Coordinator is responsible for working closely with the coordinator to provide programs for children aged 5 - 12 years in Before School Care, and Vacation Care at Our Lady of Dolour's Chatswood.
This is a Permanent Full-time position.
- Duties
- Regularly evaluating the program to ensure it caters for the interests and needs of school age children and meets the requirements of the 'My Time - Our Place' Framework.
- Advising families about the program, policies and procedures when required.
- Where appropriate take on the role of Educational Leader within the service, provide guidance, and support to the team on best practice programming.
- Working in support of the coordinator on administrative tasks and efficient day to day operation of the service;
- Requirements
- Experience in working in outside school hours care or similar child related experience; a Cert 3 certificate will be highly regarded but is not essential.
- Skills and experience in team leadership.
- Completion of the "Identify & Respond to Children and Young People at Risk" certificate.
- Knowledge of legislation relevant to Outside School Hours Care and the National Quality Framework as it applies to Outside School Hours Care.
- Current First Aid certification / CPR certification / Asthma and Anaphylaxis
