About the Role

We’re looking for a pharmacy technician to join our friendly team at Slade Pharmacy Warragul, based on site at West Gippsland Hospital . This is a great opportunity to be part of a hospital setting while continuing to grow your skills and experience in a supportive environment.

Working every second Sunday from 9 : 30am to 12 : 30pm , this role offers a great way to gain exposure to both hospital and compounding pharmacy services without giving up your weekdays. You’ll be working closely with an experienced and welcoming team who’ll support you with hands-on training in hospital pharmacy.

It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys being part of a close-knit team, is open to learning, and wants to contribute to meaningful patient care.

And if you’re local to the area, or even coming from Melbourne, it’s worth noting that Warragul is perfectly placed, just over an hour’s drive from the CBD, the snowfields and the coast.

Key Responsibilities :

• Receive, dispense and supply medications for hospital inpatients
• Assist in processing and maintaining imprest levels, and managing hospital ward stock
• Reconcile and manage prescriptions and patient medication discharge profiles
• Provide support to patients, carers and hospital staff
• Process PBS claims and assist in producing medication profiles to hospital patients on discharge
• Confidently complete administrative and record keeping duties
• Assist with patient account enquiries
