  • About the Role
  • This position plays a vital role in processing E-Waste, electrical items, solar panels, batteries and mattresses. It involves handling materials, operating tools, maintaining a clean workspace and ensuring compliance with safety standards. It is key to meeting production targets and supporting recycling and waste management operations.

    Other key responsibilities include :

  • Process and sort E-Waste, electrical items, solar panels, batteries and mattresses for recycling
  • Load and unload containers with materials efficiently
  • Operate and maintain hand and power tools for dismantling and processing materials
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, following waste management guidelines
  • Follow NDIS Practice Standards, the NDIS Code of Conduct, and the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework
  • About You
  • You will be someone who enjoys hands-on, physical work, takes pride in efficiency and is committed to safety and quality. You will be reliable, proactive and eager to learn new skills, and also pass those skills on and support our people with disability working alongside you.

    Other knowledge, skills and attributes include :

  • Comfortable with repetitive tasks and can stay focussed
  • Physical strength and stamina to lift, sort and move materials
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Able to follow instructions, procedures and safety regulations carefully
  • For this role, the following documents must be provided prior to a formal offer of employment with Bedford.

  • A National Police Clearance (no older than six months old)
  • NDIS worker screening clearance, or other NDIS approved clearance to work in the disability sector
  • Evidence of right to work in Australia
  • 100 points of identification
