Our team in Southport are on the lookout for a permanent Full Time Medical Receptionist to join them in providing the best service and care to our patients.

As a Medical Receptionist you will be providing face to face support to patients, acting as the first point of contact to ensure a smooth experience for their appointments. In addition, you will be responsible for supporting the booking of appointments, and working with referring medical practitioners.

This is a Full Time position working 38 hours per week.

You will be responsible for all reception duties :

Deliver high quality patient care when performing all clerical duties.General clerical duties, including taking incoming phone calls, responding to email enquiries, and accurate data entry skills.Exceptional customer service and care, including greeting patients at the front desk, actioning electronic / faxed referrals, and online enquiries and bookings.Schedule radiology exam appointments, including XR, Ultrasound, CT, Mammogram, MRI and interventional procedures.Patient record management in line with privacy and confidentiality policies.Liasing with other receptionists, radiographers, sonographers, Radiologists, referring doctors and other medical professionals, in a professional and courteous manner.Medicare, DVA and Work Cover billing and banking.

We are looking for someone who :

Has previous administration and customer / patient care experience.Has exceptional customer service and strong communication skills.Is proactive, cooperative and performs well in a fast paced environment.Has an interest and desire to learn and improve.Please note : knowledge of Radiology, Medicare and DVA is advantageous, but not essential.
