Position Details : We are looking for someone who can provide expert legal advice and representation to our clients in line with our firm’s ethos of holistic and empathetic client care. You will manage a diverse caseload, conduct legal research, draft documents and advocate for clients in dispute resolution and court. The ability to maintain strong client relationships and collaborate with colleagues and external support services will be an essential part of this role.

Key Duties & Accountabilities : As a Family Lawyer at Palm Legal, your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to...

Provide expert legal advice and representation across all areas of family law, including divorce, parenting arrangements, family violence, property and financial settlements.
Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring efficient and timely resolution of cases.
Stay informed on evolving family law legislation and case law through continuous legal research.
Draft, review and finalise legal documents, including affidavits, agreements, and court applications.
Represent clients in court and formal dispute resolution processes, effectively advocating for their best interests.
Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, providing clear communication and support throughout the legal process.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement comprehensive legal strategies and support frameworks that align with the firm’s holistic approach to family law.
Uphold confidentiality and security of client information in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Selection Criteria & Required Qualifications :

Qualifications, Licenses & Clearances :

Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Admission to practice law in New South Wales.

Working with Children Check

Collaboratively trained

Experience :

2 to 10+ years of experience in family law.

Proven experience providing legal advice and representation across all areas of family law.

Understanding and commitment to providing empathetic and client-centred legal services.

Skills :

Strong analytical, negotiation, and advocacy skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.

High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
