Join the RACQ Auto Team – Automotive Electrician Opportunity

We are seeking dedicated Automotive Electricians to join the dynamic team at RACQ Auto, where you’ll deliver excellence and reliability to our valued members.

As a skilled Automotive Electrician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing electrical systems in a wide range of vehicles. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of vehicle electrical components, contributing to a high-quality service experience for RACQ members.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Diagnose and repair faults in vehicle electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, ignition, battery, charging, and electronic control units (ECUs)
  • Service and repair member, fleet, and staff vehicles in accordance with RACQ’s fleet maintenance program – including passenger, light, and medium-duty commercial vehicles
  • Perform electrical upgrades and installations, including accessories and aftermarket systems
  • Maintain and repair workshop electrical equipment as required
  • Compile and maintain accurate service and diagnostic records

About you :

  • Trade qualified Automotive Electrician or Mechanic with strong auto electrical experience
  • Proficient in diagnosing complex electrical and electronic faults using scan tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, including CAN bus networks and engine management systems
  • Able to carry out work to a high standard in a safe and timely manner
  • Current C Class Driver’s Licence
  • Able to complete pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screen, and criminal record check
  • On-site role, Monday to Friday, 8am – 4 : 30pm (with opportunities to support across other sites)
  • Annual salary commencing from $80,080, negotiable depending on experience
