Job description

We are seeking a Foundry worker to join our Foundry in Dandenong South. Alongside the team, you will be responsible for manufacturing the foundry's products. In this position, you will report to the Foundry Manager.

The foundry has three sections; Before Cast, Melt / Pour and After Cast.

Training is provided across each to allow the Foundry Worker to become competent in all four areas.

We work closely in sync within our Foundry's sections in collaboration with our Production Support Team - enabling daily operations' functionality. Our team culture is all about safety and collaboration.

  • Key roles
  • Ensure work is conducted in a safe, timely and efficient manner while maintaining the company values.
  • Ensure all work is in accordance with work instructions, to maintain product integrity and meet customer specifications and quality requirements.
  • Manufacture moulds as per the work schedule.
  • Secure moulds ready for pouring.
  • Clear moulds from the pouring floor.
  • Knockout sand moulds in a safe and productive manner.
  • Ensure all priority castings are delivered.
  • Ensure all castings are checked for defects and quarantined when defects are present.
  • Use hand tools and power tools.
  • Use workshop machines for basic operations.
  • Undertake manual handling.
  • Pack & dispatch castings as per the work schedule.
  • Operate fixed and movable load shifting equipment.
  • Key requirements

  • Forklift License.
  • Literate & Numerate.

  • Salary
  • 25.00 - $30.00 per hour

    • Expected hours : 38 per week

    Schedule :
