Locum VR GP Indigenous Health - Docker River, NT

The opportunity

This is your chance to provide support to a range of remote Indigenous medical centres and for potential ongoing opportunities. GP solo work with consistent communication between community health services, so you are never truly 'alone'. Aboriginal Healthcare Workers and nursing staff will support your day today and you will see a range of patients with 20 minute appointments. Your role will be to provide care for chronic healthcare concerns, education, and treatment. Monday to Friday, 8 : 30am to 5 : 00pm, with mo on-call, weekend, or emergency work required.

The location

MM7 location. This location qualifies for additional financial incentives through the Workforce Incentive Program (WIP). Eligible GPs can receive significant financial support based on the area's classification. Essential Criteria

• Holds specialist General Practitioner registration with AHPRA
• Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM
• Australian citizen or permanent resident
• Strong primary care experience in rural or remote settings, ideally in Indigenous health
• Cultural awareness and understanding of the unique challenges facing remote Indigenous communities
