They are seeking a Senior Ecologist to join their team in Orange, NSW. This role is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual looking to lead projects, mentor junior staff and provide high-level technical advice across a variety of ecological and town planning projects.

100,000 - $113,000 base + Super (experience dependant)

Full-time onsite presence

As a Senior Ecologist, you'll support the Principal Ecologist and Town Planning team by :

Delivering technical ecological interpretation and advice across diverse projectsLeading fieldwork programs, reporting, and client liaisonMentoring and supervising ecologists and subcontracted techniciansApplying your deep knowledge of State and Commonwealth environmental legislation and biodiversity policiesYour Key Responsibilities The role requires you to work-on-site full-time, with the occasional flexibility.Provide expert ecological advice and input across town planning and environmental projectsManage and deliver projects on time and within budgetLead project reporting, contract negotiations, invoicing and performance assessmentsBuild and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationshipsPrepare fee proposals, manage subcontractor accounts and monitor project financialsPromote the company's environmental capabilities and contribute to business developmentEnsure compliance with environmental policies, standards and proceduresSupervise and mentor team members and support their professional developmentWhat We're Looking For Extensive experience working with a wide range of environmental planning projects with 5-10 years experience in a Senior Ecological roleMinimum bachelor's degree in relevant field and BAM accreditationCurrent Drivers Licence as there is occasional field workA recognised technical expert in ecological management and deep understanding of State and Commonwealth environmental legislation and policyExcellent stakeholder communication and relationship-building skillsStrong project management skills, with a focus on quality and deliveryMeticulous attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsReady to lead and make a difference?
