The Head of Learning Diversity and Inclusion directly influences the quality of learning and teaching for each student, ensuring that they are provided with opportunities to achieve success.

They are a primary point of contact for students with specific learning needs, and their families.

This role is key to our School's work as an inclusive, diverse learning community in which all students are supported to achieve their full potential.

The position is one that requires knowledge, innovation, and leadership in relation to curriculum, pedagogy, and staff development, with a focus on the diverse learning needs of all students.The Head of Learning Diversity and Inclusion should be student focused and evidence informed, while paying close attention to detail, policy and legal requirements, and deadlines.

They play a key role in assisting the School in collaboratively working towards its strategic vision.

They should be a role model as an educator and professional learner, and a mentor for staff.

They should display the qualities of a good leader, manager, and administrator that are congruent with the mission and values of the School.The role encompasses supporting and extending students with specific learning needs.

It involves leading, motivating and building the capacity of teachers, education assistants and support staff to adjust and optimise curriculum and pedagogy appropriate to the specific needs of students.

It includes responsibility for programs that support, engage, and challenge students to learn and to be their best; that differentiate for diverse individual educational needs; and that incorporate digital technologies to enhance and transform learning programs and teaching that address, support and enrich student learning across the educational spectrum.
