Trades Assistant / Labourer

Steel Fabrication company bases in Wetherill Parkhas a position available for a reliable Trades Assistant / Labourer who is looking for long term work. You will be working alongside our fabricating team assisting with assembly and processing of parts

The role will suit someone who has previous experience working in a busy metal fabrication workshop environment, ability to read basic drawings, processing and handling various metal types

• The responsibilities of this position includes;
• Reading of basic drawings
• Organizing and processing of materials
• Operating a range of hand and power tools, drilling machine, welder, bandsaw and use of materials handling equipment
• Assist Fabricators and Welders with their tasks
• General house keeping
• Assist with load and unload of transport.
• Packaging of components ready for shipping.
• You will require;
• Forklift Licence,
• Previous experience working within the steel industry
• Experience using hand & power tools and familiar with using machinery
• Must be fit, hard working and motivated
