About the OpportunityOpening in 2025, Early Learning Victoria Bani Walup at Murtoa College is one of several newly established government-operated centres providing integrated early years programs.

This role offers a rare opportunity to help shape the foundation of a newly launched service committed to excellence in early childhood education.

The RoleAs Assistant Centre Director and Educational Leader, you will :

Support and deputise for the Centre Director across all operational areas

Lead the development and implementation of a high-quality educational program

Mentor and guide educators using reflective practice and a continuous improvement lens

Build and maintain strong, respectful relationships with families, staff, and community stakeholders

Foster a safe, inclusive, and responsive learning environment

Ensure practices align with the National Quality Standards, Child Safe Standards, and VEYLDF

Key Selection Criteria1.

Child Safety and Compliance

Demonstrated knowledge of child safeguarding, regulatory frameworks, and high standards of safety.

Personal Attributes

Models values such as respect, accountability, integrity, and collaboration.

High Quality Practice

Proven success in driving educational excellence aligned with sector frameworks and a play-based approach.

Leadership

Skilled in mentoring teams, managing performance, and supporting service improvement.

About YouTo be successful in this role, you will bring :

Diploma or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)

Proven experience in leadership or educational mentoring roles

Strong knowledge of compliance, planning cycles, and the Early Years Learning Frameworks

A passion for leading high-impact education and a commitment to continuous growth
