  • We are seeking a Maintenance Fitter with experience in the service and repairs of centrifugal and meat processing equipment. Our client is going through a growth phase and is looking for staff who are keen to make a difference. If you don't have specific experience with the meat processing industry, they are willing to train the right person with the ability to learn. You will be available for site call outs when required, disassembling, repairing and reassembling machines, fault finding, writing reports and Inspections.     • The position requirements include, but are not limited to
    • To ensure mechanical systems operate in order to
    • support customer service KPI's

    • Carry out planned, predictive and reactive maintenance
    • Maintain a safe working environment
    • Perform preventative maintenance programmes
    • Respond efficiently to breakdown conditions so as to minimise
    • equipment downtime

    • Be actively involved with inspections of equipment undergoing rebuild or repair
    • Maintain records of preventative maintenance tasks completed and
    • report any variations vs. plan

    • Availability for site callouts when required
    • Ensure OH&S, Environmental and Quality compliance is in
    • accordance with established procedures, policies and work

      standards

    • Some interstate travel
    • Training will be provided, up to 3 months but to be considered for this role you will possess the following
    • Mechanical Trade qualification
    • Meat industry experience preferred however not essential
    • Experience in gearbox maintenance
    • Attention to detail with the ability to multitask
    • Experience repairing centrifugal machinery would be an advantage
    • An ability to rebuild components to high standards
    • The ability to work with mínimal supervision
    • Strong communication skills and able to work in a team
    • Forklift Licence
    • Hours and Rates
    • 7am to 3pm Monday to Friday $110k to 120K + Super with workshop vehicle provided.
