Job description

Bloom Well-being provides specialist trauma therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. We offer a nurturing and compassionate approach to standard therapy. Bloom's approach to therapy is flexible and client-led, meaning that often no two sessions between clients are the same. We walk alongside clients and hold their voices as the expert of their story.

  • The role
  • Type : Permanent full-time (part-time negotiable for the right applicant.)
  • Award : Health Professionals and Support Services Award;

Support Services Employee Level 9, PP1 (negotiable based on experience)

  • Hours : Monday - Friday (see website for approximate operating hours.)
  • Location : Creswick, VIC - 15 minutes from Ballarat / Daylesford
  • We are seeking a motivated and passionate first point of contact for clients, families and professionals. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional, customer-focused intake and assessment and ongoing support for existing clients and other service providers. It includes responsibility for growing the Bloom Well-being brand across social media and other platforms and developing free mental health resources.

  • Exceptional customer service / communication skills; being friendly, approachable & demonstrating genuine empathy & interest in client needs.
  • Being a team player; working effectively and efficiently with fellow team members, whilst working independently as required and utilising initiative to remain focused on team goals and objectives
  • Problem Solving; the ability to effectively plan and organise daily diary appointments along with the ability to deal with and resolve issues and unforeseen challenges as they arise
  • Accuracy and attention to detail; performing tasks in an accurate manner, checking and double-checking

  • Key Selection Criteria
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with clients / families / professionals who may be stressed or anxious and are seeking mental health support, whilst remaining calm and professional.
  • Demonstrated experience providing intake and assessment in an allied health setting, with a diverse client population.
  • Demonstrated high level of discretion and sensitivity when dealing with confidential matters and knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • A strong interest / passion to provide support to those who have experienced trauma.
  • Demonstrated ability to : work autonomously with competing demands, and mínimal supervision, while contributing to the goals of a team.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people and build rapport.
  • Experience engaging with and developing resources and content to be shared across multiple platforms including : MailChimp, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and Tiktok would be highly desirable.
  • Willing to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Check.
