Locum VR GP Indigenous Health - Hervey Bay & Maryborough, QLD

The opportunity

This supportive Community Controlled service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people provides the care that their local community needs with a relevant, holistic and educational approach. The modern service is based between two sites where you will have nursing, Aboriginal Healthcare and administrative support. This clinic utilises Best Practice Software and is open Monday - Friday, 8 : 30 - 5 : 00pm, with no after hours or weekend work required.

The location

This friendly beachside town is known for its relaxation, only three and a half hours drive of Brisbane, this natural bayside town is right across from the World Heritage-listed Fraser Island. Renowned for its humpback whales, 14kms of beaches and busy esplanade, this location offers all you need.

Essential criteria

• FRACGP, VR or equivalent qualifications; and General or Specialist registration with AHPRA.
• Experience in working within a remote Indigenous health setting is preferred
• Eligibility for an unrestricted Medicare Care Provider Number.
