Join to apply for the Senior Clinician (Cherry Creek) role at Department of Justice and Community Safety, VictoriaContinue with Google Continue with Google2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJoin to apply for the Senior Clinician (Cherry Creek) role at Department of Justice and Community Safety, VictoriaJoin Victoria's statewide rehabilitation services.Lead and supervise a team of clinicians and oversee clinical portfolio development in the delivery of multi-systemic interventions.Administer evidence-based clinical assessments and deliver targeted criminogenic and offence-related interventions to young people in Youth Justice in custodial and community settings.About This RoleJoin Victoria's statewide rehabilitation services.Lead and supervise a team of clinicians and oversee clinical portfolio development in the delivery of multi-systemic interventions.Administer evidence-based clinical assessments and deliver targeted criminogenic and offence-related interventions to young people in Youth Justice in custodial and community settings.Create Change from the Inside OutThe young people we work with can make remarkable changes in their lives.Statewide rehabilitation services include innovative, evidence-based clinical assessments and interventions for children and young people to support their rehabilitation and reintegration with caregivers, education and other related support systems in the community.As a statewide model, rehabilitation services aim to provide continuity of care to young people as they move from community into custody.The opportunityAHP 4 Role earning $113,022 - $136,747 per year plus super.Provide leadership and clinical supervision to a team of clinicians, offering guidance and expertise in managing the dynamics involved in multi-systemic practice and intervention.Deliver therapeutic interventions to developmentally vulnerable young people with highly complex needs in community and in custody.In this role, you will lead and advise a dynamic team of clinicians in delivering criminogenic and offence-related interventions to help create best practice outcomes for children and young people in the community and in custody.You will administer clinical assessments and deliver group and individual interventions to highly complex young people, and you will supervise clinical portfolio development by establishing effective relationships with multiple stakeholders that facilitate delivery of multi-systemic interventions.As part of our overarching rehabilitation services model, you will also oversee practice improvement and support the clinicians to effect change by providing them with training, development and support on research approaches, implementation science and undertaking knowledge translation activities.In this role, you will also ensure completion of treatment plans and risk assessment reports for internal and external stakeholders, including collaboration with senior practice advisors, case managers, behaviour support specialists, youth justice workers and our extended community and custodial operations teams.To be successful in the role, you will have knowledge of key issues impacting youth justice and a minimum of two years' experience working directly with children and young people.Qualifications RequiredGeneral Registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA); orEligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW); orCredentialed as a Mental Health Nurse with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses; orRegistration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.For more information on the skills and experience that we look for, please read the job description document attached.If this sounds like a compelling job that you believe your skills would be a great match for, please APPLY NOW.
