• Providing advice to applicants and members of the public in the interpretation of the Planning and Design Code and other development assessment related matters.
• Liaising with and providing advice to other Council Programs, State Government agencies and external bodies on development assessment matters.
• Participating in and contributing to all graduate program projects, training, and other undertakings.

• You'll be partnered with a City of Adelaide leader who will provide guidance and support throughout your first year.

• Approximately 40 hours of professional development over two years, including participation in the City Leaders program and a collaborative group project with other graduates.

• You'll have regular 1 : 1 conversation with your leader to ensure ongoing support, goal setting, wellbeing checks and guidance.

• About You

To be successful in this role you will have :

• Graduated within approximately the last 2 years or are expecting to graduate within approximately the next 6 months, with a degree in Urban and Regional Planning or a related field.
• An understanding of planning assessment and the ability to assess and analyse planning matters and determine solutions in an effective and timely way.
• The ability to prepare a range of correspondence, including written reports.
• Knowledge of relevant planning legislation and other related legislation.
• Proficiency in 3D model software.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development, continuous learning, and to building your career.
