Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS5 Financial Policy Officer on a contract for 6 months with 1x6 months extension option.

  • Position Overview
  • Duties & Responsibilities
  • The Financial Policy Officer will focus on : _
  • Managing the Department's Prescribed Officials Register, including actioning incoming requests and performing audit and assurance tasks related to the register.
  • Assisting in providing relevant, accurate and timely finance policy advice to a broad range of stakeholders via the Financial Policy Helpdesk.
  • Performing procedural, clerical and administrative support work to achieve results, including management of the Directorate intranet pages.
  • Assisting with reporting on Grants; Gifts and Benefits; and Sponsorship activities.
  • Assisting with updating or drafting new policies, procedures, guidelines and instructions that are clear and concise; and
  • Assisting with filing and record keeping activities where required.

  • Be a proactive worker who demonstrates initiative with strong problem solving skills.
  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to adapt to the audience.

  • Proficiency with using Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel
