Purpose An apprenticeship is a great way to kick start your career. With combined formal learning and on-the-job training, your journey will be supported by a great crew and professional training team. You will continue to grow and develop your skills and experience that will lead you into a skilled tradesperson.

Apprenticeships All apprenticeship roles are four-year programs which combine structured nationally recognised training with on-the-job experience. 2026 apprenticeships at South 32 are offering the following Trades :

Location - Collie - Refinery Apprentice Mechanical; Fabrication Fitter Accountabilities Demonstrate commitment and conformance to safe work practices and procedures. Represent South 32 and yourself in a professional manner both internally and externally, including involvement with TAFE and secondments. Follow all lawful instructions. ABOUT YOU You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following :

Demonstrated desire and / or experience in the chosen trade (s) Demonstrated written and oral English language proficiency. Current 'C' class driver's license or working towards one Satisfactory completion of Year 10 English and Mathematics Qualifications for this position are :

Holds relevant school reports and / or pre-apprenticeship in relevant disciplines. Ensure any documentation required to gain your trade qualification is completed accurately, on time and in the appropriate manner or required system. Progress in your Apprenticeship – This includes progressing with on the job learning and your TAFE off the job learning. Attend all scheduled mandatory TAFE training.
