The Opportunity

Are you ready to shape the future of Sydney's urban landscape? Our dynamic Sydney Planning team is seeking a passionate Consultant / Urban Planner to make a meaningful impact.

In this role, you'll harness your expertise in both statutory and strategic urban planning to provide valuable insights on land use, development potential, due diligence, master planning, and the approval process. Your technical knowledge and professional approach will be instrumental in building strong client relationships, driving project success, and fostering long-term partnerships.

You will :

  • Provide a range of services including advice relating to land use, development capability, due diligence assessments, master plans, the approval process and management;
  • Draft submissions, proposals and advice for government and private clients;
  • Respond quickly and communicating in a clear, concise and transparent manner to internal and external clients;
  • Provide input into draft proposals, tenders and submissions for projects;
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance initiatives and Planning's Business Plan;
  • Work alongside other professionals on a range of multi-disciplinary projects, working to specification, to deadlines, within budget and with a commercial outcome;
  • Prepare weekly timesheets and input to monthly accounts.
  • Stay abreast of changes to building and zoning codes, regulations and other legal issues, required to provide advice relating to land use

About You :

  • Tertiary qualifications in Regional and Urban / Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in statutory or strategic planning required, ideally gained in a consultancy or local government environment.
