Mentoring happens with everybody despite location.The company has a wellness program which includes,investment in external education courses, paid leave days for hitting your work anniversary, flexible working etc.About the roleThis is a great opportunity for an Intermediate Remedial Engineer who relishes working on a variety of projects, we are seeking an outgoing, ambitious Engineer with excellent communication, a keen eye for detail, and high proficiency in report writing and documentation.You will perform site inspections and identify building defects such as water proofing issues, cracks and other structural defects.
You will provide design solutions and compile reports.The role offers the opportunity to undertake a range of responsibilities that will include site visits, forensic investigations, building inspections, documentation / photographs, writing reports, proposing and designing a scope of works, specifications and major defect rectification / problem resolution.The ideal candidate will be able to work fairly autonomously, but will be provided direction and will be able to run projects fairly confidently with minimal supervision.You will be mentored by a Remedial Manager who has gained signifcant Remedial Engineering experience and is well respected within the industry.Key Responsibilities, Skills and QualificationsIdeally has a minimum of 3 years Remedial Engineering experience, predominantly gained working in AustraliaPerforms investigative works on-site for structural assessmentPrepares clear and concise structural reports to satisfy all aspects of the structural assessment, for the facility management, strata, legal and insurance industriesUndertakes remedial analysis / designsPreparation of technical scopes of work and tender packagesBuild and maintain professional relationships with building owners, property managers and stakeholders through the life of the project to ensure all deliverables are met within agreed timeframesDriven to complete assigned tasks on time, with accuracy and to agreed specifications and budgetBachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or a building construction related degreeProven knowledge in using software for structural analysis and designStrong analytical and problem solving abilities, excellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work independently, and also effectively as part of a team (and collaboratively across functional groups)Full working rights in AustraliaBenefits : Established team, with supportive environmentStrong focus on company cultureAn employee wellness programA career company, somewhere where you can really feel that your achievements are being rewardedEncouragement for personal development and career growth / plansSydney CBD office locationWork life balance and a flexible work arrangement in the form of a compressed 9-day working fortnightHow to applyPlease submit a full professional resume highlighting your experience with the above criteria toor callAlex Stephenonfor a confidential chat.
