Aquatic Education Teacher

As an Aquatic Education Teacher for Glen Eira Leisure, you will conduct swimming lessons for one of two School groups :

• School intensive programs run Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 3 : 00pm during school terms; OR
• Learn to Swim lessons run Monday to Friday in the mornings and after school as well as Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Your role will contribute to building the self-esteem of children, enhance their confidence and provide professional swimming and water safety instruction in a fun, safe and nurturing environment. We want swimming lessons to be the best part of a child's day!

• A passion for teaching children how to swim
• A fun and positive demeanour that resonates with children
• Ability to work in a team and help foster team goals
• Well-developed supervision skills and customer service skills
• Employee Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)

• Monday 19 September : 2pm - 3 : 00pm; OR
• Wednesday 21 September : 4pm - 5 : 00pm

If successful you will also be required to attend one of the following Swim Teacher qualification courses that will be subsidised by GESAC :

• Saturday 8 & Sunday 9 October - 9am-5pm at GESAC OR
• Saturday 12 & Sunday 13 November - 9am to 5pm at GESAC

Swim Teacher training hours must be completed at GESAC within 3 weeks of course completion.
