This role will provide you with the opportunity to utilise your skills in the area of urban tree management and environmental planning to provide technical expertise, contract oversight, and proactive support in preserving and maintaining the health, safety, and aesthetics of Council-managed trees.

What You’ll Be Working On

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is seeking to play a hands-on role in urban tree management while ensuring the preservation and enhancement of green assets across the community. You will undertake the full range of tree management activities encompassing tree permit assessments, hazard inspections, and the administration of pruning applications for public trees. You will also deliver key projects which directly support the effective management and performance of Council’s tree maintenance contracts, ensuring compliance, safety, and environmental integrity.

What You’ll Bring To The Role

To be successful in this role, you will have formal qualifications in arboriculture (minimum AQF Level 3) along with at least two years of relevant industry experience. You will bring a strong understanding of contemporary tree management practices and policies, supported by excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer service and continuous improvement.

In addition to the above, you will also hold a current driver’s licence.
