We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Transport Manager to join our team in Unanderra (NSW). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our transportation operations across various divisions, including the allocation of vehicles and drivers. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of goods while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Profit and loss accountability for the NSW Bulk Transport Division cost centersManage and measure key performance indicators to ensure the fleet and drivers align with business objectives and prioritiesFoster a safety-first culture ensuring that Company standards are achieved, maintained, and compliance requirements are consistently metAnalyse equipment and operational tasks to deliver productive outcomes through resource utilization, route optimization, and subcontractor managementEnsure the Divisions has the appropriately skilled labor to deliver the required business outcomesEnsure compliance with Safety, Quality and Chain of Responsibility Requirements (CoR) all timesManage, mentor, and provide effective analytical leadership to team membersMonitor cost and revenue to support the achievement of business outcomesPrepare and analyze reports as requiredConduct mandatory safety and compliance tasks and checks and ensure compliance with relevant safety provisionsEnsure that a scheduled asset maintenance program is implemented, maintained, and is undertaken in accordance with company and regulatory requirementsContribute to the development of strategies for growth in the Division to reflect business objectivesManage, consult and communicate with customer weekly requirements

Knowledge Skills & Experience

Minimum of 5 years' experience leading a team, and managing equipment within a road routing transport operationUnderstanding financial drivers, key performance indicators, and cost control measuresDemonstrated Profit & Loss (Cost Centre) accountability experienceAbility to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate processes and systemsDemonstrated capacity to achieve operational outcomesExtensive working knowledge in the geography of New South WalesWell-developed planning, prioritization, and decision-making skillsExcellent communication (written and verbal) and influence skillsProficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and basic WMS / TMS softwareKnowledge and understanding of NHVAS, CoR (fatigue management, load planning and mass management), dangerous goods awareness, and segregation requirementsProven ability to manage completing priorities and achieve performance and productivity targetsAbility to comply with Company policies, procedures, and legislative requirementsFood, pharmaceutical and dangerous goods experience would be an advantage, but not essential.
