Our client, a leading gold mining company with operations across Africa, is seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to join a high-performance management team at an expansion-focused operation in Africa. The Technical Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing underground technical services activities across mine engineering, geology and geotechnical areas.

Key responsibilities include

Developing and implementing high-performance-driven technical systems and procedures to support underground mining operations;

Providing technical support and guidance to the management team on all aspects of underground mining;

Overseeing sound execution of mine planning, design and production cycles to optimise site operations;

Overseeing the collection and analysis of geotechnical data to support mine design and planning;

Managing and mentoring the technical services team to ensure high levels of performance and professional development;

Ensuring all underground mining activities are in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

A Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field;

A minimum of 12 years of experience within underground mechanised mining surroundings;

Knowledge and experience with Long Hole Stoping mining methods;

Strong experience with short to long-term mine planning procedures;

Experience managing technical services team / s in an underground mining environment;

Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
