Our client who is a national removalist company located in Yennora, NSW are looking for an experience furniture removalist to join their mobile storage team as a team leader. The mobile storage driver is responsible to carry out the job in a safe, efficient and professional manner, ensuring accurate recording of incoming and outgoing freight and safe driving practices. In addition to the removal, the mobile storage driver is primarily responsible for maintaining the condition of the assigned vehicle, equipment and all respective tools associated with their fleet.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform basic vehicle checks and maintenance on a daily basisDriving to delivery or collect Mobile Storage units using truck or utility vehicle and trailer.Report faults and service defects of assigned vehicle.To provide high level of customer service, thus ensuring customer satisfaction.Always operate in accordance with company policies and procedures.Removalist duties such as driving a truck to client's sites to unload and load Mobile storage unitOnce onsite safety equipment such as 'Walk up boards', ramps, witches' hats, carpet runners are deployed.The JSA for the move is completed and controls recorded to identify risks and or hazards as necessary.The goods to be moved are manually lifted, manoeuvred and carried from the location and loaded into the container or module on the rear of the vehicle.Typical objects handled include household goods and furniture.Lifting tools and aides are utilised to make the task easier and reduce risk of injury.The items may be strapped into position within the vehicle and padding is placed between items.Piano trolleys must be used for pianos.Loading typically occurs over a whole day.Even distribution of the load in the container, truck, or module.Accurate control and location of client's property.Ensuring the activities and processes of Kent personnel do not expose the clients at the site to risks or hazards.Accurate recording of freight movement within department.Correct stowing and un-stowing of freight.General store and warehousing assistance as requiredDaily scheduling of mobile storage pods via company operating systemOffice relief work as requiredArranging packing materials into pods or for external purchasesAssisting the Operations Manger with day to day supervising of the Mobile Storage team at the branch..Acting as the first point of contact from the Operations Manager who is based in BrisbaneThe perfect applicant will be capable ofDriving of heavy vehiclesLifting objects of variable weight between floor and overhead height including heavy objects of up to 25kgPushing / pulling of trolleysGripping of objectsClimbing of stairsClimbing of ladders.Kneeling and crouching positionsProlonged work hours or overtime may be requiredRequired ExperienceWell-developed furniture handling skills.Computer literacy required, use of company software / operating system will be requiredGood Supervision skills.Excellent Forklift skills and a High Risk Work License.Good planning / logical thinking.Strong attention to paperwork.What you will receiveFull time position at a growing national company33 - $35 per hour + superOppertunity for occasional overtime
