The company currently has an opportunity for an Emergency Services Officer to work on site on a FIFO basis out of Perth on a 2 / 1 roster. The initial contract will be for 12 months with a possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities :
- Operate breathing apparatus open circuit
- Undertake confined space rescue
- Undertake vertical rescue
- Render hazardous materials incidents safe
- Employ personal protection at hazardous materials incidents
- Respond to wildfire scenarios
- Operate pumps and drive vehicles under operational conditions
- Prepare, maintain, and test response equipment
- Lead and manage Critical Risk Services (CRM) within the project site emergency services
- Liaise with project contractors to ensure adequate personnel resources
- Manage subordinate emergency personnel, ensuring competence and providing guidance
- Coordinate with project paramedics
- Lead emergency and routine fire and rescue duties
- Ensure emergency response skills maintenance training is conducted accordingly
- Coordinate training needs and engage external providers for skills training
- Maintain, service, and calibrate emergency services equipment
- Operate emergency vehicles per procedures and regulations
- Maintain medical, fire, rescue assets
- Conduct mayday, alarm, and communication checks
- Recruit, train, and mentor Emergency Response Team members
- Respond to emergency scenarios and conduct routine maintenance
- Manage site emergency incidents as Team Lead
- Inspect and report on fire safety measures and equipment
- Assist in delivering training and conducting drills
- Perform administrative tasks such as shift recordings
- Complete tasks as directed by the Safety and Construction Managers
