Dorsett Melbourne is located in the West Side Place development precinct within Melbourne CBD. The hotel consists of 316 guestrooms and suites. It also features a wide range of dedicated amenities such as pool, jacuzzi pool, gymnasium, restaurant, Club Lounge, Lobby bar, meeting rooms and relaxation area.

This role includes completing Reception duties, auditing of the hotel's daily transactions, preparation of daily reports, ensuring the safety and security of guests and employees, ensuring RSA laws are adhered to and overall responsibility of other departments in the hotel.

Key Responsibilities :

Deliver a brilliant guest experience by welcoming all guests in a warm, professional, and friendly manner. Check-in / Check-out guests, answer calls from both in-house and outside guests. To accurately collate and audit all cashiering shifts and pass all relevant information to the Finance Department. Allocate and oversee the completion of the Night Auditor / Night Porter duties. Have a thorough working knowledge on OHS procedures, ensuring that all Night Staff on shift / site are familiar with these. Resolve problems pertaining to maintenance to which you must attend, liaising with the relevant personnel as required Manage valet car park operations, ensuring smooth coordination of guest vehicle arrivals and departures, and maintaining key security and vehicle safety. To succeed in this role, you will bring :

The role involves basic accounting and data entry, therefore computer literacy is essential Have fantastic time management skills with the ability to multi task and prioritise according to the hotel's daily requirements Accuracy and attention to detail in all areas of work Have experience with conflict resolution and the ability to create personal connections with guests Have excellent oral and written communication skills Competent with OPERA CLOUD Software or similar Ability to effectively work independently and also part of a team An up to date RSA, Full Australian drivers License and full working rights are essential The ability to work evening shifts 11pm – 7am over a rotating roster as per business needs Previous Night Audit experience an advantage Diversity We value diversity and aim to build an inclusive environment that champions, embraces and respects differences.
