Learning And Development Manager

Ahrens is a 120-year-old, fifth-generation South Australian family-owned business, employing about 1000 people nationally. Our footprint continually increases as we experience significant growth throughout our divisions, which are proud leaders of their industry. Our major divisions consist of construction, engineering, rural infrastructure, water storage, electrical and mining services.

• Key Responsibilities of this role include
• Work with Operational teams to identify any specific learning & development needs;
• Coordinate the development and delivery of employee learning and development programs such as (Graduate Programs, Apprenticeships and Traineeships, Executive Leadership);
• Liaise with Schools and Universities to build relationships and identify pathway opportunities for students to work within the organisation;
• Talent management to identify emerging leaders and leadership development;
• Implement an employee feedback system to facilitate continuous improvement;
• Develop an annual training calendar and conduct an ongoing training needs analysis;
• Provide advice and assistance in regards to developing return to work plan that require retraining and redeployment of injured workers;
• Succession planning development.
• Skills and experience
• Previous experience in a similar position;
• Current driver's licence;
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with all internal and external stakeholders;
• Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment;
• Sound planning and organisational skills with the ability to multi task;
• Strong IT skills in MS Office and Excel;
• Tertiary qualifications in human resources or business (desirable);
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
