About The Role

The Clinical Coordinator role has a primary focus on providing clinical and strategic expertise and leadership through capacity building, consultation and advocating for collaborative care across Health services in HNELHD. The Clinical Coordinator also works alongside the Program Manager to develop the HNELHD ASP model of care and implementation plan for submission to the Ministry of Health in November 2025.

The Clinical Coordinator invests time building relationships and integrating into existing governance process across partner streams to enhance the provision of collaborative, trauma-informed care to adult survivors. This happens through individual clinical consultations, active participation in clinical review and complex case discussion meetings, and delivering education / service promotion sessions throughout the District. The Clinical Coordinator also provides some direct clinical intervention to adult survivors who are at risk of disengaging from Health services or falling through gaps, with this occurring alongside and in collaboration with existing service providers, though this is limited by the position being a District-wide role and the predominant focus on capacity building within the ASP program model.

As a District-wide program, it is important for the Clinical Coordinator to develop equitable relationships with services across the District. As such, there may be travel required to support relationship building and service integration.

The Clinical Coordinator will be supported through the following mechanisms :

Orientation to ASP and District VAN services (as required)Clinical supervisionMonthly Management Accountability Meetings (MAM) with District Manager VAN in collaboration with the Program ManagerProfessional development (assessed on incumbent need and existing capabilities / qualifications)

About Us

The HNELHD Adult Survivors Program is a new and innovative program tasked with improving the provision of collaborative, trauma-informed health care to adult survivors of child sexual abuse across HNELHD services, with a particular focus on Aboriginal Health, Drug and Alcohol Services, Mental Health Services and Sexual Assault / Violence, Abuse and Neglect (VAN) Services. The Adult Survivors Program has a draft statewide model to inform localised program development, and this is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of a new Health program for HNELHD that is informed by local needs and resources.

The Adult Survivors Program sits within the District VAN portfolio which is staffed by clinicians and leads with significant clinical and strategic expertise. The District VAN operational team is supportive, engaged, and passionate about improving service delivery to individuals, families and communities who have experienced or are experiencing violence, abuse, and neglect.

The Adult Survivors Program is a small but dedicated team with points of integration into the partner streams listed above, particularly through an ASP implementation group. The Clinical Coordinator will work alongside the Program Manager as a peer leader, with regular points of connection and partnership key to the success of this model.

About You

This role will suit a person who is :

A dynamic, innovative and passionate health professional with a growth mindset.Skilled and capable to create and leverage relationships to inform practice and service delivery, using their influence and expertise in individual, team and service-level settings to contribute to systems and cultural change for the benefit of adult survivors.Invested in working collaboratively, both with ASP / District VAN peers but more broadly with Health services to improve responses to adult survivors across the district.Committed to contributing to strategic development and change within District VAN, as well as partner streams.
