BOILERMAKER POSITIONS AVAILABLE BOTH IN THE BOWEN BASIN AND LOCAL WORKSHOP

Downunder Group Solutions (DGS) is on the lookout for skilled and dependable Boilermakers to support shutdowns across the Bowen Basin as well as ongoing workshop projects in Mackay .

Your Role :

• Carry out welding, fabrication, and structural repairs on heavy mobile equipment (dozers, loaders, haul trucks, draglines, etc.)
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specs
• Set up and operate welding equipment in line with safety procedures
• Inspect welds and identify defects to maintain equipment integrity
• Maintain equipment, complete job planning sheets, and keep a tidy workspace
• Collaborate with your crew to meet project deadlines

What We’re Looking For :

• Trade qualification – Boilermaker (Engineering Fabrication or equivalent)
• Proven experience in heavy fabrication or mining equipment repairs
• Skilled in MIG, TIG, arc, and oxy-acetylene welding
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and welding specs
• Mobile plant welding experience essential (draglines, shovels, trucks)
• Valid Driver’s Licence (HR an advantage)
• Standard 11 and White Card preferred
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety
