Based in our Engineering Team at Pipe Road, we’re looking for team-oriented Maintenance Planners (Electrical & Instrumentation) as part of our MHF Manufacturing Site. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the planning and scheduling activity across our Pipe Road site. Using your can-do attitude you will support our continuous improvement culture and play a pivotal role in deploying the right resources, time and energy across the production facilities to maintain operation as a budding leader within our business.

What will you be doing?

  • Owning the CMMS system (MEX) to ensure work is executed within a timely manner.
  • Coordinating requisition of materials and parts for planned work packs in a timely manner to allow the execution of maintenance activities. Including prioritizing work to be planned.
  • Driving the development of shutdown and outage worklists to ensure all priority work is executed in a timely manner.
  • Managing the development of job plans / work packs / job safety analysis to allow trade resources to execute work in a safe, reliable and sustainable manner, both for BAU maintenance activities along with shutdowns.
  • Developing the schedule of maintenance activity across the entire site. Making sure lessons learned are incorporated in a formal manner to future shutdowns to promote continuous improvement
  • Leading a culture of continual improvement among direct reports by encouraging suggestions, ideas and use of RCA (Root Cause Analysis) to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and design.
  • Act as a leader within the maintenance and reliability team, supporting the M&R Manager
  • Active participation in Management of Change (MOC), Unusual Incident Report (Unusual Incident Report) or IR (Injury Report).
  • Producing all required documentation including all procedural requirements for planned WOs & kitting of parts for planned and scheduled maintenance work activities
  • What do you bring?

    You’re a trade or degree qualified lead planner with extensive subject matter expertise and experience within planning and scheduling within the heavy industry environment as an electrical engineer, instrument engineer or Electrician. You’re a natural communicator with the ability to build and manage effective stakeholder relationships. You have a passion for manufacturing and always looking for the next CI (Continuous Improvement). Working knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems is a mandatory requirement, knowledge of MEX software is preferred.
