The role

Are you passionate about technology and thrive in a dynamic work environment? Nous has an exciting opportunity for an Applications Support Specialist to join our IT team. This permanent, full-time position offers the flexibility of a hybrid working model, including time in our state-of-the-art office at Melbourne Quarter on Collins St – a space designed to inspire innovation and collaboration.

As an Applications Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of a wide variety business applications, including Microsoft (Teams, SharePoint, Azure services), Salesforce, Atlassian and many more. This role offers a unique blend of  variety  and  challenge , allowing you to engage in both  project work  and  day-to-day support  tasks.

You will :

• Provide expert technical support for enterprise applications (level 2 / 3)
• Configure and enhance a variety of SaaS applications, including low-code workflows, customisations, upgrades, identity management and more
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues efficiently, and identify root causes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on exciting projects
• Assist in the implementation and integration of new applications
• Conduct training sessions and create user documentation
• Continuously improve application performance and user experience
• Actively maintain knowledge on the supported applications, including newly released functionality
• Provide advice / support to the business on the best practice use of applications
• Actively manage and maintain applications in the portfolio to ensure they are configured / updated appropriately
• Develop, document and implement changes based on requests for change, following change control procedures
• Conduct system testing for changes, such as upgrades, or new functionality
• Help identify areas for strategic change or improvement in applications portfolio
• Work with application vendors to escalate issues, procure and coordinate changes, and maintain vendor
