The Opportunity :
We are seeking an innovative Associate Landscape Architect to join our Perth office, contributing to our national Design team. This role is driven by our robust workbook and focuses on leading and delivering mid to large scale projects.
As part of the Landscape Architecture leadership team, you will be responsible for driving and delivering high-quality technical, production, and design input to the National Design team. This position requires a broad understanding and passion for landscape, built form, public realm design, and placemaking.
An interest in business development and the ability to build work-winning skills are ideal. You will receive mentorship to support your growth in these areas.
You will :
- Lead, manage and co-ordinate all aspects of the delivery of all project sizes including medium to large projects (including complex multi-disciplinary projects with Director support). This includes understanding and managing resourcing, program and fees and flagging issues as they arise to ensure project budget and deadlines are met;
- Proficiency and understanding in the detail of landscape architecture and the construction processes (the different phases, deliverables, contract documents and client expectations) with the expectations of creative landscape and public realm design flair and delivery input into multiple projects from concept stage through to design development, landscape documentation and construction administration;
- Developing and nurturing consulting staff capability and efficiency by providing coaching, mentoring, skills and career development including Brightest Minds review, technical guidance and management on a day-to-day basis;
- Build new and existing client relationships resulting in the generation of repeat work and strong professional networks across a range of industry sectors;
- Confidently and efficiently supporting or leading external and internal meetings (i.e. Resourcing meetings), delivering strategic Design strategies and business plan;
- Achieving commercial performance KPIs including team revenue targets, utilisation, personal fee budgets and Work Under Management through strong service delivery and effective project management;
- Demonstrating advanced understanding of the services and value of other Business Units (BUs) and the ability to speak to clients with a degree of acumen about the value other BUs can contribute to a project or process. (i.e. ability to cross-sell);
- Proactively identifying opportunities to engage and work collaboratively with colleagues from other disciplines and Business Units across national offices.
About you :
Tertiary qualifications in Landscape Architecture;Experience in a Design practice and / or consultancy environment;10+ years relevant experience or equivalent experienceAn ability to develop and document complex landscape architecture designs in AutoCAD and / or Revit / BIM and graphic (Adobe Creative Suite), 3d modelling and visualisation expertise (Sketchup / Rhino 3d / Lumion) formats.Strong Word and Excel skills to develop contract specifications and costing estimates
