Platform Engineer - Cloud, AWS, ISM - Federal GOVT!

A leading Federal Government department is seeking multiple Platform Engineers (Cloud Engineers) to lead and support scalable AWS cloud solutions within a major national digital transformation program. The successful Platform Engineers will mentor junior team members and be responsible for technical leadership, infrastructure automation, and compliance with robust security standards. These roles are open to candidates across all major states and territories with hybrid work flexibility.

The successful Platform Engineers (Cloud Engineers) will be responsible for, but not limited to :

• Leading a squad of AWS Platform Engineers, including task delegation and mentoring.
• Designing, building, and maintaining secure AWS infrastructure to support mission-critical services.
• Developing and managing CI / CD pipelines for efficient deployment and automation.
• Monitoring cloud environments to ensure high performance and availability.
• Implementing secure cloud solutions aligned with PSPF, ASD, and ISM compliance frameworks.
• Automating provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Git.

The successful Platform Engineers (Cloud Engineers) will have experience in the following :

• Proven experience in implementing AWS solutions and leading technical teams or squads.
• Expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Git) and secret management via IBM Vault.
• Familiarity with Azure infrastructure environments is highly desirable.
