About the role As our next Excavator Operator to proudly represent our Production Mining Team, you will live for challenges and thrive on the variety of work available.

Like all of us at Thiess, you're a passionate and energetic person, that appreciates responsibility, recognition and reward.In this role, you will : Operating machinery efficiently and safely as a highly skilled production operatorComplying with Thiess' policies and proceduresResponding to instructions from Mining SupervisorExcavating to design boundaries of ore bodies, berms and pit wallsEnsuring floor levels are maintainedMinimising dilution and achieving design parameters within acceptable tolerancesSetting and maintaining high housekeeping standardsCarrying out pre-start checks About you Minimum of 5 years mining experience as mining production excavator operatorEquivalent to or specific experience operating Hitachi EX3600 is essentialExperience in loading dump trucks in a mining production environment essentialSound knowledge and understanding of ore mark ups and pit configurationSkills to mine out benches and cutting batters, leaving minimal amount of material for final trim to design of batter angleProven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times What Thiess can do for you Permanent full-time positionsFull camp facilities providedThiess' commitment to training & developmentSalary sacrifice options - Flights & novated leasingRange of corporate discounts including health insurance (Medibank), travel & retail products.
