Kitchen Hand

The Kitchen Hand will prepare the meals for our centres for Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea. There's no need for formal qualifications and all training will be provided but you should be enthusiastic about preparing fresh and wholesome meals for the children in our service. Nutrition is a vital part of children's development and healthy eating is part of the QCCS philosophy. We believe food ingredients should come from the kitchen, not from a lab.

We promise that QCCS provide nutritious food that children will love. It is in their early years that children develop their tastes and attitudes about food and nutrition; hence, it is an essential time to educate and promote the importance of healthy eating.

The Kitchen Hand must be passionate about children's nutrition and have the same ethos and passion to embed and promote this in our centre.

Your role will include the preparation of fruits and vegetables for platters etc, heating and delivering meals, ensuring compliance with the centre Food Safety Plan and much more!

• opened in March 2004 and cares for up to 117 children aged from birth to school age each day. We have a great team of long term staff and are passionate about providing our children and families with amazing programs like Farm Kindy and Heathy Eating workshops.
