Disability Support Worker

I'm excited to announce that Being Humane Pty Ltd in Canberra, Australia is currently seeking passionate individuals to join our team as Disability Support Workers on a casual basis.

As a Disability Support Worker at Being Humane, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with disabilities in our community. You will work closely with our clients to assist them in their daily activities, help them achieve their goals, and promote their independence and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities of the role include providing personal care, assisting with daily living tasks, supporting clients in recreational activities, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all. You will also be required to maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with clients and their families, and work collaboratively with other team members to provide the best possible care.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a genuine passion for helping others, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team. Previous experience in disability support is preferred but not essential, as we provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to all our staff.

• Requirements
• Certificate III or IV in Disability, Aged Care, or Community Services (or working towards)
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• National Police Check clearance
• Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) card
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings

Salary and Benefits :

Pay : $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
