The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Legal Counsel to join our dynamic in-house Legal and Corporate Services team.

Bringing your adept experience in either private practice or an in-house role, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic legal advice, mitigating risks and ensuring compliance across all aspects of our projects. Reporting to the Legal Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, project stakeholders, and external partners to support tendering activity, negotiate construction contracts with clients and assist with dispute resolution for significant projects.

You will join a national team of Lawyers and Contract Administrators with a fantastic culture, and being part of a global company, you will also have access to a wider network of legal resources, including another national team of Lawyers at our local parent company, Quanta Services Australia.

About You

Desired Skills and Experience

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Possess

Tertiary qualifications in Law4+ years of relevant legal experience in either private practice or in-house, preferably within energy, power, construction or utilitiesAdvanced communication skills, both written and verbalStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders effectivelyHigh-level negotiation skills and the ability to work with stakeholders across all levelsDemonstrated ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results on time.
