We are seeking a skilled and experienced Full-time Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated team.

Duties and responsibilities :

  • Organise delivery of medications to patients.
  • Serving and attending to customers within the pharmacy; Assisting pharmacist on-duty with Medicare claims.
  • Assist pharmacist to construct patient medication profiles.
  • Liaising with other staff to ensure customers health outcomes are maximised.
  • Operate dispensary and POS software Lots to assist pharmacist on duty and to complete patients transactions.
  • Prepare compounded medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, following established formulas and guidelines.
  • Accurately measure and weigh ingredients required for compounding medications, ensuring precise quantities for each prescription.
  • Follow strict aseptic techniques and maintain a clean and organized compounding area to ensure product integrity and patient safety.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to clarify prescription requirements and address any questions or concerns.
  • Operate and maintain compounding equipment, such as mixers, ointment mills, and capsule machines, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Keep detailed records of compounded medications, including ingredients used, lot numbers, and expiration dates, to maintain accurate inventory control.
  • Perform quality control checks on compounded medications to ensure potency, purity, and uniformity, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing compounding practices, including proper labeling, packaging, and storage of compounded medications.
  • Assist in the maintenance and replenishment of compounding supplies and inventory, monitoring stock levels and placing orders as necessary.
  • Continuously update knowledge of compounding techniques, industry trends, and new medications to ensure adherence to best practices and provide optimal patient care.

Qualifications and Requirement :

  • Associate degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma
  • One year of relevant experience as Pharmacy Technician.
  • Exemplary verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Pharmacy presentation based on high professional standards.
  • A strong and committed work ethic : Reliable, hardworking and proactive.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Salary :

    The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $73,000 - $83,000, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
