At CoM we strive to embrace change as our norm andtherefore require a person who is innovative, agile, proactive andenthusiastic.In this role you will deliver effective compliance withstatutory legislative provisions via community liaison, educationand promotion of the relevant statutory requirementsYou will be responsible for : Providing ranger services information to the community andthe CityReceiving and investigating complaints and reportingaccordinglyEducating the public on issues of statutory legislation,local law and policyBuilding strong relationships with the community to assistin improved application of statutory legislation, local lawsand other relevant issuesPreparing high quality reports of incidents encounteredwhile on patrolBeing available for after-hours actions in accordance withthe City's on call arrangementsIssuing verbal or written cautions and or infringementnotices in accordance with the City's policies andproceduresPreparing briefs of evidence and attending court asnecessaryEnsuring compliance with the safety policies and proceduresas prescribed by the City and abide by relevant statutorysafety requirements at all timesPerforming other duties as directed within the scope andlevel of this positionTo be successful you will have : Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services),or demonstrated substantial progress towards achievementExcellent presentation and verbal communication skillsExceptional written and investigative skillsExperience in animal handling and husbandry skillsSound knowledge of ranger practices and procedures,relevant statutory legislation and local lawsA current unrestricted C class (manual) driver'slicenceExperience operating 4WD vehiclesComputer skills with experience in Microsoft OfficeproductsA police clearance certificate (less than 6 monthsold)Senior First AidApplicants must be aged 18-years or aboveAs part of our recruitment process, you will be required toparticipate in a full pre-employment medical that includes drugand alcohol testing.The finer detailsThis Casual Level 4 position attracts a hourly rate of $49.78inclusive of 20% casual loading.
Additional payments are availablein accordance with the City's Enterprise Agreement.
