We are currently seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join a well-established building services consultancy in Perth. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and technically capable engineer to contribute to the design and delivery of fire protection systems across a wide range of building projects including commercial, healthcare, defence, industrial, and mixed-use developments.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead the design and documentation of fire protection systems, including wet and dry fire services, in accordance with Australian standards and NCC requirements.
Perform hydraulic calculations, system sizing, and equipment selection.
Coordinate with other building services disciplines, architects, clients, and contractors to deliver integrated design solutions.
Mentor and support junior engineers and designers.
Participate in project meetings and liaise with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Conduct site inspections, commissioning support, and QA of fire systems installation.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering, or related discipline.

4–8 years of fire protection engineering experience in a consulting environment.

Strong working knowledge of Australian fire codes, AS 2118, AS 2419, AS 1670, NCC, and other applicable standards.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and / or Revit, and fire system design software such as Hyena or similar.

Experience working on multidisciplinary projects in the building services sector.

Strong communication skills and ability to manage client relationships.

Chartered status (CPEng) or progress toward chartership will be highly regarded.
