The Opportunity

As part of the next phase of our exciting growth journey, you will help shape our safety culture and the wellbeing of our teams nationwide.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you will lead the development and execution of our workplace health and safety strategy across our retail network comprising 33 stores and growing! Along with store warehouses, state-based Distribution Centres and support office sites located throughout metropolitan and regional Australia.

As a key leader, you will support, collaborate and influence safety outcomes through our regional operations and compliance team along with national retail, DC / logistics and support services leadership as well.

We are a highly entrepreneurial, dynamic and agile business and so you will focus initially on driving improvement in our safety management system including processes and tools that is more effectively fit-for-purpose for our growing retail operations. Whilst maintaining a lens on compliance and risk management, the role will challenge you in terms of identifying creative and alternate ways to engage our leaders and people in bringing them along the safety journey.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and driving our national WHS strategy and safety culture transformation by partnering with our leadership teams.
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation across all Australian jurisdictions.
• Drive proactive risk management and incident prevention initiatives.
• Manage, conduct and resolve incident investigations and support injury management and return-to-work programs.
• Monitor and report on safety performance including leading audits and supporting actionable outcomes.
• Champion WHS systems, protocols and training initiatives and programs.
