The skilled artisans at Heritage Stoneworks handcraft sandstone blocks for use in the maintenance of our state’s most impressive historic buildings. Their work will also encompass the installation of these blocks on site, and all associated craft skills. It ensures that more than 800 heritage-significant sandstone buildings across NSW remain culturally significant and operational as schools, hospitals and courthouses.

The role

Our Stonemasons assists with the planning and / or delivery of a range of assigned infrastructure project tasks, or may manage small scale infrastructure projects with low to medium risk and complexity in order that time, cost, quality, safety, targets and the organisational objectives and client expectations are met.

Our Stonemason Machinist assists with the planning and / or delivery of a range of assigned infrastructure project tasks, or may manage small scale infrastructure projects with low to medium risk and complexity in order that time, cost, quality, safety, targets and the organisational objectives and client expectations are met.

You will be self- motivated and have a genuine passion for thriving in a career as a stonemason and deliver assigned stonemason projects.

Stonemason Machinist

Salary from $2656.89pf (@$69,079pa) + various allowances including tools ($75.90pf), all purpose ($70.45pf), fares and travel time ($30.39pd), (allowances will add an approximate $9,905pa) plus accrue RDO time in lieu

  • Demonstrated experience in the operation of stonemasonry machinery
  • Well-developed knowledge and understanding of current Work Health and Safety legislation and regulations
  • A valid NSW Driver’s Licence and dogging and forklift tickets (preferred)
  • Stonemason W5

    Salary from $2656.89pf (@$69,079pa) + various allowances including tools ($75.90pf), all purpose ($70.45pf), fares and travel time ($30.39pd), (allowances will add an approximate $9,905pa) plus accrue RDO time in lieu

  • Successful completion of stonemasonry apprenticeship, with over a year of industry experience
  • Well-developed knowledge and understanding of current Work Health and Safety legislation and regulations
  • A valid NSW Driver’s Licence and willingness to drive to remote locations which may include overnight stays
  • Dogging and forklift tickets (preferred)
