The Woolworths Format and Network Development Team operates around the country to support our stores. Working as a team you will be responsible for installing Refrigeration plant and Equipment in new and renewal store environments using some of the latest cutting edge technologies available.

• The Role
• As an Installation Technician in the Woolworths Refrigeration Installation team (WRI), you will ensure that equipment is installed to the highest of standards to ensure that our stores are able to provide a great service to our customers
• In the role, your responsibilities will be :
• Installing Refrigeration equipment into new and existing Woolworths, Dan Murphys and BWS stores
• Installation of Transcritical and subcritical refrigeration as well as R404a and R134a systems from planning stage through to commissioning
• Planning, coordinating and completing projects in conjunction with your project manager
• Playing a mentoring role to more junior technicians and apprentices
• Reviewing and assessing tasks to be completed
• Completing associated paperwork on time
• Material stocktake and ordering
• Liaising with our technical team on the status of tasks
• Assist your project manager in the scheduling and planning of labour resources
• Developing relationships with our facilities management, support and technical teams, store managers and teams
• Working closely with construction teams including informing engineers, planning for replacements, and assisting in prioritising capital works
• Who we're looking for

If you have had experience in installation or are a seasoned professional we are looking for you. We're looking for someone who is experienced in refrigeration installation, running of pipework in supermarkets and connection to all types of refrigeration fixtures.

• Trade qualifications in HVAC & Refrigeration
• Solid post apprenticeship experience, including experience within the commercial refrigeration service and installation industry, with commercial supermarket experience.
• An understanding of Co2 systems, Emerson & RDM controls advantageous
• Confidence in new refrigeration / air conditioning control technologies
• Flexibility to travel to various sites throughout Sydney, Regional NSW and Canberra
• An ability to self manage tasks as required
• A good level of computer literacy (Google suite of Apps an advantage)
• The ability to work under pressure and to tight timeframes
• Excellent communication skills
