Locum VR GP - Outback NSW

The Opportunity

This small clinic requires essential assistance to support the primary GP. With many new patients looking to join the clinic, and with a new permanent doctor due to commence later in the year, the clinic is hoping the additional locum support will allow the primary GP to have the time to enrol some of the new patients. There will be full time nursing and admin support in the clinic as well.

Further details about the clinic are below and $1800 is paid daily plus flight, car and accommodation support provided. Longer blocks and those with the ability to return on multiple occasions would be are preferred where possible but all availability of 2 weeks minimum will be considered.

Details

• 4 patients per hour ranging from aged 0-99
• Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm with 1 hour lunch break
• No on-call, ED, weekend work or nursing home visits
• Mixed billing clinic
• Best Practice software in use
• Full time nursing support

Location

This large outback mining town is full of outstanding heritage significance to our First Nations People as well as early European settlers. This is a perfect base for exploring stunning national parks, cafes and more than 30 art galleries in the region. Locally you can visit museums to learn about the history of the town or visit the sculpture park, set in the red earth, that offers fantastic views at sunrise and sunset. Further afield you can take a trip to the underground town of White Cliffs, or visit the Menindee Lakes for a day trip.
