Let the Journey Begin We're looking for an experienced Employment Consultant to join our supportive team in a flexible role—work remotely or from our Mascot, Macquarie Park, or Newcastle office.
You'll play a key role in helping injured clients return to meaningful work with new employers.
Using your expertise in job preparation, job seeking, and labour market analysis, you'll guide clients who can't return to their pre-injury roles.
Collaborating closely with Psychologists and Rehabilitation Counsellors, you'll provide tailored, practical support throughout their return-to-work journey.
In this role, your day-to-day responsibilities will include : New Employer Services : Deliver tailored support to clients transitioning to new employment, liaising with potential employers and identifying suitable job opportunities.
Job Preparation : Coach clients in resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation, and other job-readiness skills to improve their employment prospects.
Job Seeking : Assist clients with active job search strategies, networking, and applications, providing encouragement and guidance throughout their job seeking process.
Work Trial Facilitation : Coordinate and facilitate work trials or placements with host employers, monitoring progress and addressing any issues to ensure successful outcomes.
Labour Market Analysis : Conduct thorough labour market research and analysis to identify viable and appropriate roles for clients, utilising your SIRA experience to align opportunities with each client's skills, experience, and medical restrictions.
Collaboration : Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, rehabilitation specialists, and insurance providers, to ensure a holistic approach to the workers recovery and return to work.

What will you bring to the role : Experience : 2–3 years of relevant experience in employment services, vocational rehabilitation, or a similar field (return-to-work experience highly regarded).
SIRA Expertise : Hands-on experience with the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) framework is highly regarded, including proficiency in conducting Labour Market Analysis as part of the NSW workers' compensation scheme.
Skill Set : Strong understanding of job placement and new employer engagement strategies for injured workers.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients, healthcare professionals, and employers.
Team Player : Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team (Psychologists, Rehabilitation Counsellors, and other allied health professionals).
Motivation : A genuine passion for helping people rebuild their working lives, with a proactive attitude and good organizational skills to manage cases, documentation, and deadlines.
