Grade 2 Subacute Physiotherapist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and team-centred Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join our subacute team in a part-time, fixed-term position in the MCU@Home team until January 2026. The Mary Coram Unit (MCU) is our inpatient rehabilitation ward, and the MCU@Home team continues the rehabilitation process in the patient's home, around the Goulburn Valley. It is a bed substitution model for patients requiring multidisciplinary, goal-focused rehabilitative or comprehensive GEM care, delivered through home-based and virtual care 7 days per week.

This role is essential to delivering high-quality Physiotherapy services to a diverse caseload of rehabilitation & geriatric evaluation and management (GEM) patients. The multidisciplinary team includes Rehabilitation Physicians, Geriatricians, Nurses, Pharmacists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Pathologists.

Key Responsibilities Work closely with the Grade 3 Subacute Physiotherapist and report to the Physiotherapy Manager & MCU@Home team lead. Support Grade 1 Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants, undergraduate Physiotherapy students, and the wider multidisciplinary team. Provide clinical expertise to complex cases. Support staff supervision and assist with relevant competency and in-service training. Contribute to departmental and organizational quality improvement projects.
