Our expertise extends to all associated disciplines including trenching, horizontal directional drilling, cable & conduit installation, full end to end design and network installation, jointing and splicing providing a complete inhouse solution of all underground utility installations.
The Role Genus Infrastructure are seeking experienced and skilled individuals to join our team as a Horizontal Directional Driller. If you are passionate about underground utility installation and have expertise in directional drilling and locating, this is an exciting opportunity to grow your career and make a significant impact in our industry.
- Operate and maintain Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) equipment to install underground utilities, such as telecommunications, water, gas, and power lines.
- Ability to read dial-before-you-dig maps to locate services.
- Conduct pre-drill site surveys, including utility locates and mark outs.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to plan and execute directional drilling projects efficiently and safely.
- Monitor drilling operations, including the tracking of depth, alignment, and other drilling parameters.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations throughout the drilling processes.
- Maintain accurate records of drilling activities, including daily reports, job site documentation, and as-built drawings
- Perth metropolitan based with occasional regional work
- Large pipeline of work, currently scheduled into 2026
Essential Skills / Requirements :
- 2 years+ Industry experience
- HR driver's licence
- Excavator operator ticket
- Construction Induction (Blue / White Card)
- A pro-active view to OH&S
- Ability to read and interpret site plans & DBYD drawings
- Collaborate with a diverse range of professionals on-site to achieve project goals
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards and client requirements
Desirable Skills :
- Western Power Network Access Card (NAC)
- First Aid & CPR
- Cert III in Trenchless Technology
- Basic Worksite Traffic Management (RIIWHS302E & RIICOM201E)
